MILESTONE
WATCH: Entering this season, Senior Nicole
Loewenstein (Joppa, Md.) of the Seton
Hall Pirates had 88 hit for the university. Sometime this spring
she should become the 23rd player in the programs history
to be safe at first over 100 times.
Melanie Mitchell |
SHARP PITCHING: A week ago, Junior pitcher
Melanie
Mitchell (White Plains, Md.) struck out 13 Coastal
Carolina Chanticleers as her Virginia
Cavaliers picked up a 3-1 win.
Today, she was tossing strikeouts
again, six this time, while walking just one. She also allowed only
one run, but it was enough this Saturday for the Fordham
Rams to slip away with a 2-1 win.
