Harford Xtreme Showcase player
She's lettered in three sports

Sophomore Lori Sena, Harford Xtreme Showcase catcher, enters this high school softball season already having earned a freshman varsity school-ball letter and high hopes that her team will repeat and improve on its successes from last year.

In 2011, Mount de Sales' final game ended in a thrilling championship contest. At that time, the entire season came down to an extra innings' international tie breaker that brought home opponent Archbishop Spalding's winning run.

“We were very happy with her experience on the varsity squad,” her mother says. “She never sat on the bench for even one inning.”

Still, Lori may need some rest. She has won letters now in three sports: volleyball, basketball, and softball. She also has stepped up her time for cracking the books.

“My husband and I are delighted at how much Lori's grades have improved,” her mother says, crediting the academic goals set by the Harford Xtreme Showcase and Lori's desire to be part of the travel-ball team.

“I have never seen Lori work so hard at her school work and have such a close relationship with her teachers,” her mother adds.

There's no down-time in sight, however, for this well-rounded athlete. Spring brings more school-ball, travel-ball, and, of course, most importantly, academics!

Two points! Lori shoots over defense to sink two.
