New co-captains chosen

Now there are three! Co-captains, that is.

A few weeks ago, the Harford Xtreme Showcase team gathered together early on a Sunday morning before practice at the Proving Grounds Gymnasium, Forest Hill, MD. Head Coach Charles Weimer had a surprise announcement. He told the gals seated in a line against the wall, waiting for the day's workouts to begin, that a secret poll by the players would be held to select the team's new co-captains for the 2012 season.

Paper ballots and pencils were distributed to everyone. To ensure confidentiality, the girls sat back-to-back or faced the wall to cast their votes. In a few minutes, the election was over and results calculated.

Two team stars – Jess Moore and Caroline Weimer – now join team leader Kelsie Trayor, the past Fall's captain, as together they form a truly dynamic new 2012 co-captains trio!

Congratulations Kelsie, Caroline, and Jess!
