Two Saturday doubleheaders

Maddie Justice

In game one, freshman Maddie Justice (Bishopville, Md) played right field. In game two, freshman Emmie Burke (Bel Air, Md) handled the second base duties.

Brittany Hyatt
LOST TWO: the West Virginia State University (WVSU) Yellow Jackets lost both ends of their doubleheader against the Mount Olive Trojans. However, the second game turned into a pitching duel with each team knocking out just two hits apiece.

The Trojans' first hit was not until sixth inning, while managing 3 runs (2 earned) for the victory.

WVSU senior shortstop  Brittany Hyatt (Hagerstown, MD) stung early and late, producing her team's only singles in the first and seventh innings. Brittany was a first team All-Conference selection last year.

The Yellow Jackets have been picked to finish third in the WVIAC this coming season by a vote of conference coaches.
