Xtreme's Jess Moore
Throws three-hitter, receives
National Honor Society award

Jess Moore

In the circle, it's really all about location and spin on the softball. Harford Xtreme Showcase's co-captain, pitcher (and shortstop) Jess Moore whirls a dominant rotating ball that moves and dips past batters who often only hope to make just any kind of contact at all.

That's what happened yesterday as Jess tossed a three hitter for her high school softball team, Fallston High, Fallston, Md, against the larger, northern school, Elkton High.

Fallston High's motto is “A Proud Tradition of Excellence”, which Jess honors on the softball diamond and in the classroom, too.

Today, not long after the three hitter had been officially recorded, Jess learned she is being inducted into the National Honor Society!

The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS acknowledges students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
