 Drexel “Thumps La Salle, 10-2 … Drexel actually fell behind 1-0 early, as Dragon starter Shelby Taylor (Easton, Md) ceded an unearned run in the first inning without allowing a hit. In the bottom of the inning, though, the Dragons batted around, sending nine hitters to the plate and scoring three times.”

NC STATE WOLFPACK

Emily Weiman
"Wolfpack softball extended its winning streak to six games by sweeping a doubleheader from Campbell (20-22) Wednesday at Dail Stadium. The Pack won the first game 3-2 and shutout the Fighting Camels in game two, 3-0.

"Emily Weiman (Pasadena, Md) secured her second shutout of the season in game two. In the complete game effort, she surrendered only three hits and struck out eight Campbell hitters."

“The Bulls added another school record to their remarkable season of feats Wednesday afternoon at home.

“The No. 16/18 USF softball team finished off a doubleheader sweep of Providence with a 5-0 victory in Game 2 that extended the team's winning streak to 18 games, a new record for the program.” Sophomore shortstop Kourtney Salvarola (Arnold, Md) was two-for-three with an RBI.

 “The Rider University softball team split a non-conference doubleheader against the University of Delaware... freshman Allysen Breeden (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) hit her team-leading third home run of the season, giving Rider a 2-0 lead.”

Melanie Mitchell
“Junior pitcher Melanie Mitchell (White Plains, Md) threw a one-hitter and struck out nine in the Virginia softball team's 7-1 win in game one of a doubleheader with Radford Wednesday at The Park. The Cavaliers (20-18) fell in game two to the Highlanders, 12-1, in five innings.

“Mitchell (White Plains, Md.) threw her 20th complete game of the season and picked up win No. 14 in the first game of the doubleheader. Radford's one run was unearned as Mitchell walked just one batter in addition to her nine strikeouts.”

“Both games were called in the fifth innings as WVSU won the opener 16-0 and game two 13-0.

"Brittany Hyatt (Hagerstown, Md) blasted a two-run home run over the left field fence and later knocked in another run with a triple...”
