It was the second college career grand
slam for junior second base Lauren
Gibson of the #7 Tennessee
Lady Vols (6-1) and formerly of Chesapeake High (Pasadena, MD).
It was the four-run dinger this
afternoon, Friday, February 17, along with her 3-for-3, plus a two
walk, two stolen base, five RBI offensive performance in drizzling
rain that sealed a 10-7 victory over a tough Illinois
Fightin Illini team. Everyone showed up to play today, but none
more than Lauren.
