Shepherd softball hosting
KO CANCER WEEKEND

The Shepherd University Rams will host KO Cancer Weekend for breast cancer awareness on the weekend of March 24-25. The Rams will play the Davis & Elkins Senators at noon on Saturday and West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats at 1:00 PM. on Sunday.
 
Shepherd University is located (one hour from DC) near the Maryland border on the Potomac River in historic  Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

SHEPHERD UNIVERSITY...

Delany Bell

 Senior infielder  Delaney Bell, Glen Burnie, Md. 

Last year: Delaney batted .284 with five doubles and a triple. She had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 28 chances.




Kris Durham


Senior catcher Kris Durham, Queen Anne, Md. 

Last year: Kris batted .273 with 2 doubles and 2 home runs in 44 at-bats. She drove in 11 RBIs and scored seven. 



 

Alexis Fisher

Sophomore pitcher Alexis Fisher, Sharpsburg, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: Alexis lettered four years in softball and was a three-time First Team All-County choice. She played on the 2007 state champion team.

 


Alysha Votel


Sophomore outfielder Alysha Voytell, Frederick, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: Alysha earned All-Conference and All-area honors in high school.

 



Shanan Plunkett

Freshman infielder  Shanan Plunkett, Hagerstown, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: In high school, this three-time All-County selection lettered four years in softball and two in basketball.

 



Kristen Juenger

Freshman utility Kristen Juenger, Frederick, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: Lettered four years in softball and basketball, Kristen led her high school team last year with a .492 batting average and 26 RBIs.

 



Tayler Schaefer
Freshman outfielder Tayler Schaefer, Dunkirk, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: Lettering in softball, field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse, Tayler had a .427 batting average with 15 doubles, two triples, and a team-best 33 RBIs as a senior.

 



Elisa Orlandi

Freshman catcher Elisa Orlandi, Owings, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: Lettered four years in softball and two in volleyball, Elisa played for three state champion softball teams and one state volleyball champion team.




Savannah Snyder
Freshman catcher, third base Savannah Snyder, Elkton, Md. 

Prior to Shepherd: Savannah was a four-year softball letterwinner, Snyder was a two-time All-Catholic Conference selection and a Second Team All-State selection as a senior.

Samantha Crabtree

Sophomore catcher, utility Samantha Crabtree, Emmitsburg, Md. 

Prior to Davis & Elkins: Samantha lettered in softball and field hockey.

Freshman pitcher, infielder Kelsey Hangeland, Jarrettsville, Md.
