Sport 4-0 record  
Sea Gulls flying high


The #8 ranked Salisbury University Sea Gulls completed three games Saturday to improve to a 4-0 record.

► IN THE FIRST GAME, the Roanoke College Maroons were shut out 5-0. (This contest was a continuation of a rain delay game that started on Friday.)

Freshman pitcher Kathryn Larson, Frederick, Md, started the game to work 3 innings and scatter 3 hits. Freshman pitcher Rachel Johnson, Preston, Md, struck out four in her two innings worked.

Junior DH Lindsay Brown, Ellicott, City, Md, delivered with a hit in two opportunities, while junior catcher Michelle Gravdahl, Ellicott City, Md, contributed an RBI.

Sophomore outfielder Angelia McDowell, Frederick, Md, was 1-1 with a run scored. Junior second base Carly Read, Catonsville, Md, hit and also scored a run. Both junior outfielder Sarah Alpaugh, Eldersburg, Md, and sophomore first base Harley Hill, Huntingtown, Md, scored runs, as well.

► IN THE SECOND GAME, the Greensboro College Pride fell 9-1.

Junior catcher Michelle Gravdahl, Ellicott City, Md, hit 2-2, drew 2 walks, delivered 3 RBIs, and scored a run. Junior outfielder Sarah Alpaugh, Eldersburg, Md, went 3-4

Junior DH Lindsay Brown, Ellicott, City, Md, slammed two hits, while sophomore first base Harley Hill, Huntingtown, Md, scored two runs. Both junior second base Carly Read, Catonsville, Md, and sophomore outfielder Molly Gigioli, Frederick Md, knocked out hits and scored.

► IN THE THIRD GAME, the Seagulls prevailed over North Carolina Wesleyan University Battling Bishops by a score of 2-0 in eight innings!

Freshman pitcher Kathryn Larson, Frederick, Md, posted 6 Ks in 4 innings. In this hard fought game, Junior DH Lindsay Brown, Ellicott City, Md, recorded a 2-3 day at the plate, while both junior outfielder Sarah Alpaugh, Eldersburg, Md, hit 2-4 and sophomore first base Harley Hill, Huntingtown, Md, went 2-4.

Sophomore outfielder Molly Gigioli, Laurel, Md, drove-in the go-ahead run, while Harley brought home junior second base Carly Read, Catonsville, Md, who was 1-2, for an eighth inning insurance run.

There were four stolen bases in this game by Sarah, Lindsay, Carly, and Molly.
