Mountaineers climb a steep schedule

THE MOUNT WAS BACK out on the field today, though this time the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers dropped two to the Stetson University Hatters.

Freshman pitcher Hayley Stankan, Cumberland, Md, made her collegiate debut for the Mountaineers in the first game, while freshman pitcher Danni Cummings, Calvert County, Md, tossed in relief in the second game.

Rachel Teti
Sophomore Bre Lohman, Sharpsburg, Md, knocked out a hit and roamed the outfield in both games. Junior Kelly Hickman, Pasadena, Md, deftly covered second base throughout the doubleheader. Freshman Rachel Teti, Mt. Airy, Md, caught one game and pinch hit later in the afternoon.
Erin Leddy



Junior outfielder Erin Leddy, Great Mills, Md, batted 1-for-1 with a doubled and a walk.

The Mount, who played two games yesterday, and two today, still face the Delaware State University Hornets and St. Bonaventure Bonnies tomorrow before the weekend games begin.
