HAMPTON: The Hampton University Pirates beat George Mason 10-5. Hampton jumped to an early 5-1 lead in the first inning. But quickly senior Sharde' Estep, Aquasco, Md, singled home three runs to start the Lady Pirates march to victory.

RADFORD: The Radford Highlanders held off a seventh-inning rally to edge the Binghamton Bearcats 6-5. The Bearcats plated three runs in the top half of the seventh to cut the Highlanders’ lead to one, but sophomore pitcher Stephanie Dameron, Dameron, Md, froze the final batter for her fourth and final strikeout to end the game.

SETON HALL: The Seton Hall Pirates knocked off Monmouth 4-1. A walk loaded the bases in the fourth for senior catcher Nicole Loewenstein, Joppa, Md, who shot a single through the hole between first and second to make it a two-run advantage.

 


Emily Weiman
NC STATE: The NC State Wolfpack to Kentucky by a score of 7-6. Freshman Emily Weiman, Pasadena, Md, came on in relief of Peeler in the third inning, and in 3.2 innings, she gave up one earned run off of three hits and also struck out three Wildcats.
