HOME RUN/ FIRST WIN: Junior first base Jenn Reading, Stevensville, Md, smacked a home run on Friday as the Drexel Dragons picked up their first victory of the season.

HITTING STREAK: The Seton Hall Pirates came from behind to top the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, 6-2. Senior catcher Nicole Lowenstein, Joppa, Md, went 1-for-3 and now has reached base in eight straight games, dating back to last season. CLICK HERE for full story

NO RUNS EARNED: The NC State Wolfpack battled the Georgetown Hoyas in a 7-5 triumph. 

Freshman Emily Weiman, Pasadena, Md, earned the win. She came on in relief in the third. Emily finished the game without an earned run charged against her. 

The Hoyas turned to their freshman pitcher Megan Hyson, Pasadena, Md, to work relief in the fourth inning. CLICK HERE for full story

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Earlier, Georgetown Hoyas freshman pitcher Megan Hyson, Pasadena, Md, was named the Big East Softball Pitcher of the Week. 

Last week, Megan pitched her first career no-hitter against the Howard University Bisons.  

In 13 innings pitched and two wins, Hyson has struck out 22 batters. She currently posts a 1.38 ERA. CLICK HERE for full story
