► HOME RUN FOR LAUREN: The Tennessee Lady Vol rolled past Georgia Southern, 7-0 and 9-0, in a doubleheader sweep.

Junior second base Lauren Gibson, Pasadena, Md, was 2-for-6 on the day with a home run, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored.

► TWO VERY DIFFERENT CONTESTS: The Seton Hall Pirates put on a 13 hit barrage to down the Towson Tigers 9-5 yesterday in the first half of a doubleheader, but had their bats quieted in the late afternoon as the Tigers roared back to a 1-0 victory.
